Lake Kolmjarv, 1946
ReportedThe Swedish military built a rope-lashed raft with no metal fasteners so it would not confuse their metal detectors, took over 3,500 lake-bottom samples and swept the site with a Geiger counter - a three-week state recovery operation for an object that was never found.

What is not settled
Object-only, no entity content. The Defence Staff's own October 1946 statement conceded only that some observations could not be explained as natural phenomena or aircraft; FOA identified about 30 debris fragments as meteorite material. The Cold War context is decisive: the exercise was premised on Soviet missile tests, a missile-intelligence problem rather than an anomaly problem.
