What the record resolves
The official file contains no description. What circulates comes from somewhere else.
Nothing official. The wrinkled brown head, silver fangs and pointed ears are a private account.
The record
An official file preserves that a report was made and examined. It does not, by itself, establish what was seen.
UNKNOWN
No document is attached yet. The retrieval is open work.
What is not settled
THE CLAIMED POLICE ELEMENT DOES NOT HOLD UP. Investigation was by private researchers; no police, school, prefectural or government record was found. The only quasi-technical work was a local teacher's uncontrolled, unpublished, unreplicated soil survey. The boys underwent hypnosis in 1982, seven years on, which contaminates everything recorded after that date. The city has since commercialised the case.
