What is not settled
INVESTIGATION, not storage. But the enquiry was low-priority and the final P&SS report does not survive in the released files. The MoD record concludes a practical joker may be at work; a local Round Table member later confessed to prank appearances in a silver asbestos fire suit with a built-in helmet that made him look about 7ft tall - which matches the recorded morphology almost exactly.
