Moors above Calvine, 1990

Documented

MoD paperwork records that the negatives reached the Ministry on 10 September 1990 and were handed back four days later, and forensic analysis of the one surviving print concludes it is a genuine photograph of a scene before the camera, with a Harrier 755 m behind the object.

The record

An official file preserves that a report was made and examined. It does not, by itself, establish what was seen.

The document is attached to this entry.

What is not settled

The witnesses have never been identified and the named photographer denies involvement. Only a print survives, never a negative. The analysis itself states there is insufficient data to conclude what the object might be.
